Southern Tire Mart adds truck service at six more Pilot Flying J stops | Tire Business

COLUMBIA, Miss. — Southern Tire Mart has added truck tire service and truck maintenance at six Pilot Flying J travel stops in four states in recent weeks, expanding the network of Southern Tire Mart at Pilot Flying J (STMP) service locations to 70 with plans to reach 85 by year-end.

Columbia, Miss.-based Southern Tire Mart, the largest independent commercial tire dealership in North America, struck a deal in January 2021 with Pilot Travel to take over the management of truck care maintenance facilities at 35 Pilot Flying J locations that offered them, and pledged at that time to open as many as 100 more such facilities over time.

To date, Southern Tire Mart has added truck care services at 20 Pilot Flying J travel centers in 2024.

STMP facilities are staffed with certified technicians and offer a range of standard truck and lube services, as well as retail and national account sales. Services offered include tire repair/replacement, alignments, belt/tensioner inspections, wheel-end assemblies, etc.

At the same time, STM has opened a commercial tire service location in San Marcos, Calif., a city of 95,000 residents located 35 miles north of San Diego. It's the 23rd STM outlet in California.
